Presents the Annual

GEOGRAPHY FAIR

 Grades K - 12:
You are invited to participate in
  The 17th  Annual Geography Fair
Saturday November 22nd, 2003 at Bridgewater State College

The 2003 Fair theme is:

“Habitats and people: how people live in

different parts of our world.”

This theme allows us to look at the interaction between people and their environment as people build their homes, make their living, and pursue their lives in a variety of settings.

The many types of houses, farming methods, and the range of perceptions of the environment, etc are all part of what makes different places and peoples so distinctive.

And it is this interaction of culture and physical environment that presents us with the mosaic that is our world.

This is an opportunity for your students to display their maps, models, dioramas, etc.  Students will be required to illustrate the main topic while addressing the well known themes of geography. Student displays should address the Fair topic using the geographic perspective and by addressing some of the Fundamental Themes of Geography. Judging will be based on adherence to the Fair topic and geography themes, content and written explanation, visual presentation, the project map, and oral responses to Judges’ questions.
