PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

 Integrating Geography into the Curriculum

SEMAGNET is pleased to present a series of workshops that have been developed to help classroom educators teach the geography standards in the Massachusetts History and Social Science Framework. These workshops are conducted by team of college faculty and  experienced classroom teachers, some of whom have received training at National Geographic Institutes.

Workshops will explore both content material as well as innovative teaching strategies that can be used in the classroom. Workshop speakers present  lesson ideas and handouts that can be used directly in the classroom.

Each session is 2  hours in length spread - five afternoon sessions over several  weeks, or in the summer. Workshops can be held at Bridgewater State College or at your school. For the cost, please contact SEMAGNET.
