(British Imperial map, 1886, Colomb) This past summer we presented a 1-week mapping institute, entitled "Maps and their stories" at the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library. Teachers spent the time learning about how to interpret the messages of maps, historical and contemporary. Check out the report.
